Benzoyl Peroxide

Benzoyl peroxide is a  bleaching agent in flour, whey processing of milk, and for some cheese making. The Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA) has concluded that most benzoyl peroxide is converted to benzoic acid during processing, storage or heating.
