Parabens are synthetic preservatives used in the food and cosmetic industry. They are used to prevent mold and yeast in food products. They are most commonly found as coatings on cereals, nuts, baked goods, and packaged snacks. Cosmetically, they are most commonly found in bath products and eyeliner.
